How to perform quality inspection during the production of PCB Circuit Board?

Publish Time: 2024-06-14
Quality inspection of PCB Circuit Board during production is an important part of ensuring product performance, reliability and stability. The following are several key steps for quality inspection during PCB Circuit Board production:

Raw material inspection

Check substrate material: Ensure that the substrate material meets the design requirements, such as copper layer thickness, dielectric constant, flame retardancy and other parameters meet the specifications.

Check copper foil quality: The copper foil should be flat, non-oxidized, scratch-free, and have a high surface finish to ensure welding quality.

PCB layout and design inspection

Layout rationality: Check whether the PCB layout is reasonable, whether the components are arranged compactly, whether the routing is clear, and avoid cross interference.

Design rule check (DRC): Use professional software to perform DRC check on PCB design to ensure that the design meets the process requirements and is free of errors and omissions.

Production process inspection

Etching inspection: The etched circuit board should be flat and burr-free, with clear edges of wires and pads and no residual copper.

Drilling inspection: The drilling should be accurate, the hole diameter should meet the design requirements, the hole wall should be smooth, and there should be no biased holes or broken holes.

Solder mask inspection: The solder mask should be uniform, free of bubbles and impurities, with complete coverage to protect the circuit from external influences.

Character and silk screen inspection: The characters and silk screen should be clear and accurate, without blur or dislocation, to facilitate subsequent production and maintenance.

Finished product inspection

Appearance inspection: Check whether the surface of the circuit board is flat, scratch-free, stain-free, and whether the solder joints are full, without cold solder joints or continuous solder joints.

Electrical performance test: Use professional testing equipment to perform electrical performance tests on the circuit board, such as conductivity test, insulation test, etc., to ensure that the electrical performance of the circuit board meets the requirements.

Reliability test: Conduct reliability tests such as high temperature aging, low temperature freezing, humidity test, etc., to simulate various extreme conditions to test the stability and reliability of the circuit board.

Through the strict inspection of the above steps, the quality of the Pcb Circuit Board in the production process can be effectively controlled, thereby improving the overall performance and reliability of the product.
